Our Mission
To offer a helping hand to cats in need of rescue, provide them with food, love, and medical care, and house them safely until an appropriate forever home is found. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue.
Our History
Although our founders have been rescuing cats for many years, our roots truly began to grow in May of 2012. During this time, we became aware of the dire situation at Harnett County Animal Control where many animals on death row face euthanasia. Although we did not know we would turn into a rescue then, we agreed to take cats who did not find rescues or adopters before their time was up, and attempted to find them loving homes. Each week we took the last few who would have otherwise been left behind and as our numbers grew, we made the decision to officially start a cat rescue based out of Raleigh, NC.
Since then, we have grown to include many fosters, administrative, fundraising, and more. Learn how you can become a foster or volunteer here.

Our "Facilities"
One of the benefits of adopting through us is that each and every cat is fostered in one of our loving homes. This means that we get to know each kitty’s likes and dislikes, (good with other cats, dogs, etc?), and socialize them in a more real-life environment. It also means that we don’t have a “walk-in,” public facility. However, don’t let that stop you! If you find a kitty on our website who you’d like to meet, we can set up a private meet & greet in your home or at one of our many foster homes.
Frequently asked questions (faq)
ADOPTION FEES
How much is the adoption fee?
When you adopt from us, you can rest assured that your cat or kitten has been fully vetted. While we understand that the fee is a cost to you, please do understand that we spend FAR more caring for each cat or kitten than what we charge for an adoption fee! The difference is made up through fund-raising. Further, if you were to, let's say, adopt a free cat on Craigslist and take care of the vetting yourself, you could easily spend $500 - $1000 or more to achieve the same health care!

What percentage of my donation is used for the actual rescuing of cats?
100%! Our rescue is 100% volunteer run. That means that no one takes a salary. Every single penny raised through donations is spent on food, litter, medical care, supplies, etc. Even if you occasionally see a "promoted post" on Facebook, that is paid for by a volunteer who chose to use their personal money to pay to promote that event! When you donate to us, you can feel good about it!
WHY DO I HAVE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION BEFORE I EVEN MEET A CAT?
Our volunteers put a lot of effort into fostering cats and kittens, raising them in our homes, bringing them to vet visits, socializing them, and much more. By ensuring that you are already approved to adopt, it avoids disappointment for you if you've already met a cat and now have to wait for approval, and prevents our volunteers from spending their time and efforts arranging meetups with people who are not already approved to adopt.
